General remark
A course lesson at inlingua St. Gallen lasts 45 minutes, including a 5 minute break.

Absences - Private lessons
The students / clients agree upon their time plan in accordance with the school administration. Once agreed upon, appointments can be cancelled and postponed by telephone - 071 227 63 83 - by Fax 071 227 63 80 or by e-mail - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Such a notice has to reach the school administration at the latest at 4 pm on the day before the scheduled lesson (for lessons on Mondays, the deadline for cancelling is the previous Friday at 4 pm). Cancellations or postponements reaching the school later than 4 pm on the previous day have to be put into account normally.

Interruption or Transfer of Private lessons after the Start
In case that a student / client wishes to interrupt a private lesson course, then the rest of the lessons agreed upon are put into account for 1 year, counting from the day the contract was signed. The value of these lessons can be used within this time frame for another course or transferred to another person or used for a course at another inlingua school within Switzerland. Should the interruption last longer, a written notice has to be sent to the school administration (by letter, fax or e-mail). If the private lesson course was ordered and paid for by a company, the account belongs totally to the latter and can be used for a language course for another person of the firm.

Cancellation or Postponement of a Group course before the Start
Group courses agreed upon can be cancelled without any cost up to 2 weeks / 14 days before the group starts. The course has to be cancelled by letter, Fax or e-mail to the school administration; the date of receipt of the message counts for the deadline. For cancellations or postponements which arrive less than 2 weeks / 14 days before the course starts at our school, a cancellation fee of CHF 300.- will be applied.

Cancellation of a Group course after the Start
Group courses have a fixed time plan and can generally not be cancelled after the start. If a student / client resigns from a course during the course or does not attend the classes anymore, the whole course fee still has to be paid. Also, course fees which have already been paid are not reimbursed or put into account. In very special cases of emergency - and upon a written application by the client - the school administration might put the fee into account for attending language course at a later date.

Exam Registration
Registration or Enrollment for language exams, such as the ones offered by Cambridge University, the Goethe Institute or other such organisations, is the sole responsibility of the student / client. The school helps in informing about registration deadline but takes no responsibility for missed deadlines or delayed enrollment.

Number of Participants
If a class does not reach the minimum number of participating students needed, then the school administration has the right not to start a course, to merge a class with another fitting group, to postpone a course or to reduce the number of lessons given.

Absences in Group courses
If students / clients miss lessons, then these lesson accounts are lost. This also applies in cases such as sickness or other preventions not attributable to the school.

Terms of Payment
Unless agreed upon explicitly differently, the terms of payment which were agreed upon by the contract or the invoice come into force.

Dispatched trainers
inlingua has the right to change a dispatched trainer for a certain period or for the rest of the course by another teacher. Remember that all inlingua trainers have undergone a thorough training and are - if dispatched - therefore in the position to teach the classes they are foreseen for.

Educational material
The costs of the teaching material are not included in the course fee and are therefore put into account separatly on the invoice.

Complaints
Should any problems arise with your language course and you feel to have to complain, please speak to your trainer first and then contact directly the school administration. We're constantly trying our best to find adapted solutions to any problem that might arise.

All articles left at owner's risk
All articles left are at owner's risk - so please do not leave wallets, watches or PC-items in your classroom. The school takes no responsibility for any lost or forgotten items.

Court Jurisdiction

Should there arise any dispute and legal steps be undertaken, the court of jurisdiction is St. Gallen and general Swiss law is applied.

These General Conditions are applicable as from January 1, 2008
